Business Plan Competition for Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs in Ghana aged 21 years or older are invited to enter an exciting business plan competition.
Entrepreneurs in Ghana are invited to enter this year’s Enablis business plan competition, an initiative of the Enablis Entrepreneurial Network, sponsored by UT Bank.
The business plan competition, which seeks to empower entrepreneurs across the country, is open for entry submissions from 20 October 2010 to the 20 December 2010. The competition is a chance for entrants to sharpen their business writing skills, refine their business plans and gain business exposure.
Winners of the competition will receive business mentorship and advice from Enablis experts and its partners, in order to grow their businesses and counter high failure rates of Small and medium Enterprise (SMEs) in Africa.
The competition targets entrepreneurs with businesses in one of the following 10 sectors. These include food and beverage, services, green business, arts and craft, health, fashion, beauty, Information Communication Technology (ICT), tourism and agri-business.
However, entrepreneurs with new businesses ideas that are not yet operational are also eligible to apply and stand a chance of gaining mentorship and funding to start their business.
In conjunction with the competition, a set of business plan workshops will also be held in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale in October and November 2010. These workshops are aimed at empowering applicants with skills to better equip  them to write successful business plans as well as understand competition processes.
The top 100 applicants will be announced on the 13 January 2011. Selected finalist will be chosen thereafter for a one week training session, after which they will present their business plans to an experienced panel of judges.
Interested participants should download the application form online from www.businesslaunchpad.info/ .
