Are you a woman entrepreneur in Africa? Enter the BiD Network 2010 – 2011 Women in Business Challenge to receive financing and technical support for your business.
The Women in Business Challenge is a business plan competition aimed at offering women entrepreneurs’ technical and financial support necessary to grow their Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs).
Applicants stand a chance to win customized advisory services worth €5,000 (approximately 6,942 US Dollars) from the UnitedSucces, a worldwide network for business women owners.
The competition is open to women entrepreneurs in Africa and other developing countries who either run an existing business or are in a start-up phase or,. This includes entrepreneurs who are looking to grow their business and require financing between US$ 10,000 and US$ 1 million and those aspirant entrepreneurs who need help with their business plans.
Interested applicants can submit their business plan applications in English or Spanish before March 15 2011. Women entrepreneurs who want to apply but need assistance with the development of their business plan as well as other technical support should submit their plan applications by December 15 2010.
The selected top five finalists will be announced in April 2011 and flown to the Netherlands for a series of trainings and investor networking meetings.
All applicants will be given feedback on how they can improve their plan as well as coaching on the writing of their business plans to increase their chances of winning.
For those who do not win, all is not lost. Your business plan stands a chance of being listed in the BiD Network Investor Matchmaking Services platform, an online forum that links entrepreneurs with investors.
The competition has been organised by BiD Network, an organisation that stimulates entrepreneurs to create and expand their businesses, in sponsorhip with ICCO and various partners.
