Entrepreneur Business Competition

Are you an emerging entrepreneur? If you have been in business for more than six months, register for the Enablis business plan competition and you could win startup capital for your enterprise.
Entrepreneurs in South Africa are invited to enter this year’s Enablis business plan competition, an initiative of the Enablis Entreprenurial Network.
Aimed at reducing the considerable failure rate of small business start ups, the competition is open to South African entrepreneurs in various business sectors. Entrepreneurs can enter regardless of whether or not you have an existing business. It is open for entrepreneurs who seek finance for expansion as well as professional advice to take their business plan further.
Entrepreneurs whose business ideas have not yet been implemented can enter the ‘New Ideas/Concepts’ section.
A series of workshops have been organised to mentor and coach interested participants in the preparation of their business plans ahead of the competition. A team of professionals will help the entrepreneurs transform their ideas into fundable business plans that can be implemented.
The workshops which are ongoing in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban until November 12 will also tackle areas of financial management, business strategy, marketing, human resources and legal aspects of a business.
The competition has been organized by the Enablis Entrepreneurial Network with the support of  Accenture , FNB and Microsoft, amongst others. R 2 million ($286936) worth of prizes are up for grabs for winners of the Business plan competition including laptops, a corporate identity makeover and business finance.
While winners receive prizes,  finalists in each category will take part in an aftercare program that will involve the incubation of their ideas.
The deadline for entry submission is 7 January 2011. Interested participants can go to http://www.businesslaunchpad.co.za/ for more information.
