Business Competition for Entrepreneurs in Tanzania

Are you an entrepreneur in Tanzania? You can take part in a business plan competition and win a cash prize of up to Sh.30 million (US dollars 19, 953). The Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) is inviting entrepreneurs to take part in its business plan competition where winners will be awarded grants.
The competition is part of the TPSF Business Development Gateway Programme, whose aim is to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) by easing access to financing, improving competitiveness and building capacity. During the eight month duration of the competition, participating entrepreneurs will write business plans and be trained in management.
Up to 400 participating entrepreneurs will be announced as winners at the end of the programme, based on their ability to develop and implement innovative and viable business concepts.
Participants will benefit by gaining new business skills and contacts by interacting with experts and other entrepreneurs. More than 4,500 entrepreneurs have participated in the programme in the past. Most past participants have since expanded their businesses and increased profits.
The competition is open to both existing and aspiring entrepreneurs who wish to apply for the third cycle. To be eligible you need a business concept that is both innovative and viable, as well as displays the ability to contribute to the growth of the country’s economy.
