Rwanda Entrepreneurship Week for Students

University students in Rwanda have an opportunity to take part in a one week entrepreneurship workshop coming up in July aimed at encouraging young students to venture into business.
Students of the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology, National University of Rwanda, Kigali School of Finance and Banking and Generation Rwanda Entrepreneurship Club can apply to take part in the upcoming Rwanda Entrepreneurship Week.
Participating students will gain skills in diverse business models, market analysis, networking, product development, sourcing for finance and team building. Students will also get an opportunity to interact with successful entrepreneurs and leading business executives.
The one week workshop to be held between 25th to 30th July 2011  in Rwanda’s capital Kigali has been organised by the African Innovation Prize, a university business plan competition that encourages students to be innovative and embrace entrepreneurship.
Started with a grant from the Cambridge University Entrepreneurs (CUE) business plan competition, the African Innovation Prize offers university students training, mentoring and assistance in funding their business ideas. It also organizes business plan competitions where students with viable business ideas are awarded cash prizes.

  1. It is the good ideas for development of entrepreneurship in East Africa, it will be important if those universities in East Africa can do so.

  2. This is a good idea, really it will help the Rwandan society to strengthen their skills in business, I thank you verry much beacause of this support. As advice I also think about how you can help non educated young people about how they can organise and develop an elementary business or project. Thank you in advance.

  3. Thank you for this opportunity to participate in this entrepreneurship week. I am student at the National University of Rwanda in FEM so this seminar will develop our knowledge about entrepreneurship.
