Search for Kenya’s Top 100 SMEs

Entrepreneurs running Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Kenya can enter a competition that seeks to identify and honor the country’s fastest growing small businesses and outstanding entrepreneurs.
The Top 100 medium-sized companies’ survey sponsored by the Nation Media Group and KPMG, an audit firm, is accepting entries in various categories such as Best Rural Based Company, Entrepreneur of the Year, Fastest Growing Company, Leading Lady Entrepreneur, Pinnacle Award and Revenue Growth Champion.
Outstanding SMEs in different industries such as construction, healthcare, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) manufacturing and service will  also receive Industry Champion awards.
The winners of the survey which is now in its fourth year will be feted at a Gala Award dinner on 7th October 2011. Winners will be selected based on how profitable they are, their stability and the growth they have registered in the last three years.
Interested applicants should have an annual turnover of Sh 70 million and Sh1 billion. Applicants are expected to fill out a general questionnaire showing how many employees they have; how they have managed to excel in the face of the increasing cost of doing business together with their financial statements for the last three years.
Complete applications should be handed over to research firm Synovate Ltd.
