All You Need to Know about Online Business Tools

Technology giant Google is organizing a forum about how to make the best out of their online tools. You want to grow your business? Then don’t miss this free forum!
The annual web and mobile conference dubbed G-Kenya will be held in Nairobi, Kenya from September 12th to 13th 2011. If you attend the forum you will get the chance to explore Google’s open source technologies, interact with technology experts and expand your knowledge on the role of innovation in business.
The forum will bring together over 1, 000 entrepreneurs, business people, engineers, product managers and web developers with the aim to boost the growth of business and economies in Africa. Similar forums have been held in other countries across Africa, all promoting innovation in business.
Business is being redefined by access to information, more specifically access to the right information, at the right time. Local entrepreneurs will play a unique role in creating a dynamic online experience that will help spur the growth of businesses in Kenya,” said Olga Arara-Kimani, Google Kenya dynamic Country Manager.
This year, the theme is ‘The Next Iteration,’ and will highlight entrepreneurial opportunities in innovation.  What does it mean? Professionals will train participants on business technologies ranging from Mobile / Android, Chrome and HTML5 to Maps & Geo and App Engine. You will be geared up for success!
On the first day of the forum, business and marketing professionals will be focusing on the different ways of growing your business through digital strategy.  The session will combine talks and panel discussions around how to market your business through the web and via mobile telecommunications, tracking measure results, managing business presence online and how to create and monetize content. Quite an extensive program that should equip entrepreneurs for online navigation.
Successful entrepreneurs will also share their experiences in launching technology ventures during an entrepreneur panel discussion. The second day of the forum will focus on software developers and web masters.
Among the key speakers during the forum will be Nelson Mattos, Google product and engineering VP for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Mattos, who has been involved in past events, says that the event is significant in engaging technology and business communities.
Our aim is to make the internet more locally relevant and useful to enable meaningful product development.”
