Investing in the economy of Nigeria: From 12 to 14 December, Dubai’s Address Dubai Mall will play host to the 2011 Invest Nigeria conference.
This initiative has been put together with the hopes of bringing investment into Nigeria and showing the world the numerous opportunities within the North African country’s economy. Discussions and talks will take place at the conference, led by government departments and key economic role players who will actively promote the business opportunities that exist in the country. This includes discussion on Nigeria’s policies and programmes that have been formulated to ensure that investors are greeted by a free-market economy.
Among the many delegates and representatives of the Nigerian government, the following delegates and exhibitors will also be at the event: representatives from sectors such as investment, finance, power, IT and construction, entrepreneurs, family offices, institutional investors and investment banks, foreign ambassadors and CEOs, directors and management from many organisations.
Key topics for discussion at Invest Nigeria will include realising Nigeria’s potential to become one of the world’s biggest economies, policy implementation, opportunities for foreign investment and business sectors in Nigeria (which will be hopefully be panelled by ministers of trade and investment, commerce and industry, information and communication, among others), Nigeria’s initiatives and opportunities available to foreign investors looking to tap into Nigeria’s state economies, opportunities in sectors such as energy, agriculture and mining, stimulating Nigeria’s private sector through fiscal and investment incentives and foreign direct ownership reforms.
