Africa’s leading private equity and venture capital event will take place from 28 to 30 November this year, at the InterContinental Nairobi.
The conference aims to examine African private equity as a destination for investment; 80 key speakers, including Arnaud de Cremiers, a partner at Adams St Partners, Matthew Hunt, the director of South Suez Advisory, Gacho Kuina, CEO of Transcentury, and Kayode Akinola, a partner at Helios Investment Partners will be speaking on topics ranging from alternatives to private equity, how investors are treating African investment opportunities and other important crucial aspects of venture capitalism and business financing.
The event will also be introducing to brand-new additions to the agenda. Firstly, there will be a discussion on the opportunities that exist in West Africa that will explore the many new markets that are popping up, as well as geopolitical and economic outlooks, how deals can be concluded and how the global market sees West Africa.
Secondly, there will be an educational workshop that will educate delegates on using private equity as an asset class. This workshop will be led by Guy Fraser-Sampson of the Cass Business School – and he is an authority on the matter; he wrote a book called Private Equity As An Asset Class. Guy will cover subjects such as analysing managers, funds and returns, and types of private equity and how they differ.
