Tanzania: Strategic Agricultural and Food Shortage Solutions Africa

Food solutions: 2012 Strategic Agricultural and Food Shortage Solutions summit
The Strategic Agricultural and Food Shortage Solutions for Africa 2012 summit heads to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania from 26 March to 28 March 2012. The event brings together key figures in the agricultural sector, adding some international insight to a critical sector.
Food shortages and famine are very real and very possible problems that don’t take pity on anyone – they will affect whoever gets in their way and they won’t be stopped until they are done. This summit is aimed at finding ways around the problem and putting the groundwork in place so that one day when there is a food shortage, African countries can come together as one and be able to deal with it as efficiently as possible as a collective, helping our brothers and sisters.
Among delegates at the conference will be various nations’ agricultural government departments, representatives of farming groups, agricultural co-operatives, financial institutions and banks, agricultural societies and funds, investors, privatisation and investment promotion agencies, regulators and development agencies, food processing and agri-companies, importers and exporters, municipalities and NGOs involved in the agriculture sector. It’s important for these people to be at the conference as they have a big say in the industry, and when it comes to finding solutions and solving problems, it’s impossible when even one key figure is missing.
The key aspects of the conference will be to focus on strategies, best practices and new methods being implemented in the agricultural sector. This is mainly aimed at overcoming the numerous obstacles and hurdles faced by the industry on the continent. Delegates will also be able to browse various stalls and exhibitions where new technologies and methodologies will be exhibited by experts and entrepreneurs from around Africa. Agriculture is one of the continent’s biggest sources of food and income, and the only way that this can be boosted is by acting now to prevent tragedy in the future.
