Meetings Africa is Southern Africa’s largest tourism marketing platform and will light up the Sandton Convention Centre from 28 February to 1 March 2012. The event showcases South Africa’s lucrative tourism industry to local and international buyers in a colourful, vibrant display of opportunities.
Meetings Africa is open to people who are used to going to hosting events, conferences, meetings, team incentive trips and team-building activities. Service and product providers are also invited to register as exhibitors and the conference will help them introduce their products and services to the market, network with industry players, and gain exposure to new markets locally and abroad. There is also a planned golf day, where industry leaders will be able to network in a more relaxed environment – the fairways.
Attendees will include any and everyone from the tourism industry, including meeting and event planners, event co-ordinators, and travel agencies, as well as hosted association buyers who organise international conventions from countries such as Australia, China, France, Italy, Kenya, Nigeria, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the USA. Listed exhibitors at the conference will include national and provincial tourism authorities, convention and visitor bureaus, hotels and accommodation providers, transportation companies, luxury trains and cruise lines, spa resorts and travel trade publications.
The three-day summit will also have an agenda for delegates and it’s going to be jam-packed with events such as a lifestyle weekend, a corporate breakfast, presentation theatre, SAACI educational sessions, an open networking function, and an awards breakfast that will keep delegates busy throughout the conference.
