Sending emails to clients strengthens customer-to-client relationships. Marketing is the catchword of twenty-first century business, and emails play a huge role in that.
1. Focus on one point only.
Like a sales pitch, don’t talk about every single item that your business sells. Identify one and get your customers’ attention. You don’t want them to start reading and lose interest halfway.
2. Forget about pictures and focus on words.
Everyone using email should have an anti-virus program, and 9 times out of 10 these security controls will block messages containing graphics. Instead, use clever text to create interest in your business.
3. Mobile means more than just a cellphone.
There’s ultra netbooks like the MacBook Air and tablets like the Samsung Galaxy, not to mention more smartphones than you have hairs on your head. Many people use these devices as email hubs, so make sure that your emails are “mobile friendly”.
4. Making tools benefits your marketing strategy.
Not all email clients are customisable and give feedback information like how many people opened your emails, how many people unsubscribed from your emails, and which version of your email got the most clicks. This type of information will also allow you to update and adapt your strategy to be more effective in future, so be sure to research your email clients.
5. Build email groups.
This allows you to send different messages to certain customers. This will mean that you’re able to target various groups for different products or services and maximise your marketing because they will have some sort of interest in this particular mail.
Using your email system to market your business can help attract a new customer base while cementing relationships with existing customers. If you target them specifically and give them information at their fingertips, you can keep in constant contact without being obtrusive. It may be the dearth of creative writers everywhere, but email marketing is here to stay. It all depends on how quickly you jump on the bus and get with the times.
