Berlin: 14th annual Africa Energy Forum

The 14th annual Africa Energy Forum will take place at Berlin’s Estrel Convention Centre from 26 to 28 June, and the event continues to be Africa’s top summit regarding all things power and gas related.
Energy has come under the spotlight in the last few years because of the increased demand from the world’s growing economies as well as the declining reserves of natural fuel sources. At the three-day conference, governments and utilities providers from around the world, and Africa in particular, will try to address the issues surrounding the energy needs and supply. The event will give players in the private and public sectors the opportunity to network within the industry and share their knowledge and understanding with regards to problems being faced, overcoming these obstacles, as well as the opportunities to expand business agreements.
More than 400 delegates attend the event every year and they discuss topics such as restructuring and privatising state-owned utilities, financing power expansions, regional power markets in Africa, regulating the power sector, the growth and use of natural gas, and energy access for economic development, among other things. Delegates encouraged to attend include government representatives and policy makers from the power ministries, power and utilities-related service and product providers, key role players in the power industries, and exhibitors who will be given the opportunity during the event to showcase their new technologies and products that could benefit this industry in the coming years.
