The Kellogg School of Management will host the prestigious Kellogg India Business Conference on 12 May at the Northwestern University’s Allen Center.
This year’s summit on the Evanston, Illinois campus has the theme of ‘Opportunities Take Flight’ and will focus on how businesses in India and Indian-owned international businesses can adapt to changing economic conditions around the globe.
In the last few years, India has stepped up to become one of the world economy’s key players, with massive work forces, tremendous resources and cheap labour powering its growth. This has led to a number of key business agreements being concluded between India and various international countries, a number of which are from the African continent. The conference is a respected and accomplished event that brings to the forefront key business issues that will hopefully benefit India in the global marketplace, as well as assess how the country has managed to be so economically sound while the rest of the world has struggled during the global economic slowdown.
Last year’s event was a success down to the well-organised agenda and programming which included keynote addresses by business leaders, policy makers, industry heads and academics, not to mention panel discussions and interactive topic debates where delegates were invited to discuss issues that they feel affect India and its trade within the global community.
This year’s event looks to build on previous events. It will provide delegates with opportunities not only to debate and discuss, but also opportunities to network with industry peers and view products and services that are related to trade with India. This networking is vital as it allows delegates to build bridges, conclude agreements and bring forward new relationships that will hopefully prove fruitful in the future. The key to good business in the future is to start preparing now – there is no point in waiting or hesitating; the sooner we can come together as one, the sooner we can all advance and find the key to being a better marketplace for everyone.
