The Precious Values of Eco-Tourism: &Beyond Safaris

&Beyond Safaris in Botswana is founded on core values of eco-tourism. This responsible approach to business makes this hospitality enterprise a leader in the industry.
Care of the land, care of the wildlife, and care of the people.” This is the core company ethic of one of the most successful safari companies in Africa.
&Beyond is a leading enterprise in the hospitality industry and believes in eco-tourism as a means to fulfil its motto. This approach to business builds its foundation on an understanding of the need to ensure sustainable living and promote environmental awareness. Through eco-tourism, a concept which emphasises the environmental responsibility of business owners in the tourism industry, &Beyond attempts to manage the business in harmony with the natural surrounds. This includes minimising the impact of visitors to its natural habitats, informing and fostering their appreciation for the land, local culture and wildlife.
Initially started under the name Conservation Corporation Africa or CC Africa, &Beyond was carefully established through a well-developed business model that promotes low impact tourism on conservation land, to the benefit of local people. This framework has led &Beyond to become an economically viable establishment, while at the same time protecting Africa’s natural sanctuaries & wildlife, as well as supporting her people in rural communities. With several lodges throughout Africa, &Beyond undertakes to empower all those who are involved in the business and prides itself on the knowledge sharing that occurs amongst its staff members.
At the Nxabega Okavango tented camp in Botswana, &Beyond has a particular emphasis on staff training and development. The company offers their staff a chance to develop their potential and grow into new positions. Over the years, this could mean a scullery maid working as a trained guide. Their current assistant manager, Goffer, is a proud example of someone who seized every opportunity that came her way. Starting out as a stock controller, she now largely tends to the demands of the day-to-day running of the camp. A very busy woman, she is delighted at how far she has come.
With years of experience in the hospitality field, &Beyond offers their staff the chance to learn valuable entrepreneurial skills through growing their potential in the business. With its socially responsible approach, this successful company makes sure it sticks to its code of ethics and nurtures every aspect of the business.
