In the DRC, farmers are uplifting their communities by starting a rice growing project with one of the country’s largest beer producers, Bralima Breweries.
The Democratic Republic of Congo’s mega-brewer began a rice growing programme a few years ago that has now grown into a self-sustaining enterprise. It’s not only helped with the Bralima’s brewing business, but has increased farmers’ incomes by supporting local entrepreneurship in the community.
